ok. i should know this. i should remember this. i am a mama and was a doula for petes sake...but my brain is not working right. and plus, i am a 'go by how i feel' kinda gal anyway...
so how do ctx's typically go...or shall i say, not typically cuz we are all different...but what is the cycle they would take if say, ideal or more like the 'books' say? when they get closer and closer together...then you are most likely closer to birthing? i cannot remember how it goes...i would think its closer and clsoer together...i DO remember to count the time from the start of one ctx to the start of the next... sigh... my brain is gone i swear.
my mother also said yesterday that she hopes i don't start labor in the middle of the night. i wanted to scream. i said well i hope it doesn't either but if it does, it does...but that doesn't mean YOU have to get up in the middle of the night...i can labor w/ megh sleeping...if i need you i need you. i'm starting to think maybe i should call someone else as my mom seems very self absorbed and not able to handle me 'being in pain' as she calls it very well. she still denies wholly that she did NOT come to my hospital room til 5pm when i'd been there since 4am laboring w/ megh. i'd called her at 3am and she said she'd be there ASAP. she was heavily drinking then, though...not sober. she was in awful condition in her alcoholism. now she doesn't drink but still has a lot of the false pride and other many character annoyances i know are related to her not working w/ her feelings and issues that caused her to drink. anyway....yeah, so i'm SURE my mom not showing up til 5pm when i'd been in the hospital already 13 hours had something to do w/ my labor slowing and not 'progressing' much. and me wanting meds... i had 26 hours of labor total. sigh... i hope she doesn't affect me this time.
: i'm just gonna focus on me. and if during daytime, maybe have megh be w/ a friend and their mama if possible...but able to come back to birth center if she wanted to...
