Chamomile tea ok in early pregnancy?

X-posted in I'm pregnant.....I am 5 weeks pregnant and wondering if a cup of chamomile tea would be ok....I had a stressful day and have had a sinus headache and a hot cup of tea sounds good right now....Didn't want to call my m/w at 9pm on a Sunday to ask if I could so I was hoping there was on here tonight to help.

TIA.

Yes, a cup of chamomile tea is fine. It is a very mild emmenagogue, so I wouldn't drink gallon after gallon of it or anything... but a cup is just fine and probably very helpful so that you can relax. Enjoy!

Oh heck yes! Chamomile tea is fantastic. Also good in later pregnancy where it's harder to stay asleep.

Funny...it's 3:30 in the morning and I'm awake. Maybe I should find some.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I really appreciate it! I also found gentlebirth.org and that was also helpful.

I really needed that! I WAS just having a beer when before I went to bed if I had a stressful day, I am really missing that option now!! ....

Thanks again!
