Anyone else getting m/s that worse in the evening? I feel great until around 4:00 and then its starts to set in, weard. The smelling the lemon thing really does help, though.

Yes - that's how it always starts for me. Evening to mid day to morning (which is to say it lasts all day) then tapers off the same way. I feel good in the mornings around 13 wks, then add the afternoons around 14 wks, then back to *normal* around 15/16 wks. Just in time for the hernia to kick in full gear.

I'm not feeling pregnant; haven't had any queasiness since early last week. I do feel some odd uterine contractions when I nurse my son lying down, but otherwise, I'm not feeling anything at all. With my second miscarriage, I was also very bloated, but never felt anything. I wanted to avoid ultrasound with this pregnancy, but I am tempted to find out whether this one is viable.

sorry you're feeling down. I have had two losses too. I'm actually getting an u/s on Wednesday. I never had one with my son. After all I've been through I figure this is something I need. I wish I could be stronger and wait, but I'm being true with my needs. I hope everything is okay with your babe.

I'm thinking about wee lil socks and hats and booties, of course this is a July baby so maybe I should think about bigger things for winter
I will be making lots of soakers and longies for the baby, thats for sure!
I'm an avid knitter, but I'm not planning to start anything for this baby for quite a while yet. Maybe after Christmas I can stop being so paranoid about loss. I don't have to worry, though--I still have the 6 million wee things that I knit for DS

That's how it was with my first two. It was bad briefly in the morning, then mild throughout the day, then late afternoon hit like a ton of bricks. I think it was my body's way of saying "go rest and feed me now!"

Good morning everyone!

And.....so it begins. The nausea that is. I knew it was on the way but I forgot just how yucky it actually is. christinespurlock - my nausea is there all day but most definitely in the evening. I end up going to bed just to try to find some relief. I'm only 5-1/2 weeks and I know that it will be a good 3 months before the worst of the nausea and vomiting is gone and then I'll still have underlying nausea until the end of the pregnancy. My 1st pregnany I had so many people telling me "don't worry, after 12-15 weeks you'll be back to normal". They eventually stopped saying that once I just started glaring at them .

I also have very sore nipples and of course, dd has decided to nurse constantly including nighttime. veganf - sorry you're feeling sad about your ds not nursing.

I have a really busy day ahead. Swimming lessons with dd, LLL meeting, 1st midwife meeting and a parenting workshop tonight. Not sure if I'll get it all done. All I really want to do is curl up in bed.

Have a good day everyone.

Wow, I had not thought about the fact that all of you nursing preggie mamas are nursing through the nausea. Kudos to you. I cannot imagine it. I hate to be touched or even breathed on when I'm feeling sick.

Yes, for the past few days I have been feeling the worst around 4-5pm. I think it may be when my blood sugar gets low between lunch and dinner. The nausea makes nothing sound good to eat, but then when I do eat, I start to feel better. I've been drinking RRL tea -- I think it's helping the nausea a bit.

I am starting to crave strange foods. I won't say what I bought yesterday as it might gross-out nauseous people. I ate it last night-- but the thought of it this morning is making me sick.

It's weird how I can be so sick and hungry and not hungry all at the same time.

That's how I am too. I spend most of the day feeling nauseous and not wanting to eat but forcing myself to eat timy amounts. Then, all of a sudden, I get this tiny window where the nausea breaks for a second and I just need to pig out on something. I've been going for comfort foods. Last night I ate a huge plate of spaghetti and salad. Today I'm making rice pudding.
