When will you/did you tell people? - Page 2

My DH knows, obviously, and message board people. But IRL, we probably won't tell until my family comes to visit in December. I'll be around 9 or 10 weeks. I usually like to wait until the first tri is over, but since we live so far, it will be special to share the news in person!

My close family already knows. (except my kids) I will tell my kids, extended family, and friends after I see the heartbeat. My last pregnancy was a molar pregnancy so I do not want to share until I know it is "real". I will not tell my work until I am showing. The company just laid some people off so I would rather keep it under wraps for awhile.

My DH and my mom know (and some friends online). I will probably tell my sister soon, but everyone else will have to wait until Christmas or when it's really obvious--whichever comes sooner I've had 2 m/cs and I hate having to share that with ppl who aren't very close to me.

My DH obviously. I told my mom the day after I found out because the fatigue/sickness was hitting hard and she sort of guessed. My sister and her husband, 2 of my brothers and one of my SILs know. Nobody on DH side knows and 2 of my brothers (who don't live near me) still don't know, unless my mother has told them. . . hmm, she probably has.

As for non-family, I'll probably tell a few close girlfriends in a few more weeks, and the rest of the world around 12-15 weeks.

We told our parents and are telling our children after we hear the heartbeat. Everyone else is going to find out in the christmas card.
