Ovarian cyst

Does anyone know if an ovarian cyst would resolve naturally during a pg?

I think I may have a cyst. I'm proably going to call my Dr to see. Everything I've read says that a normal cyst will resolve itself in one to three cycles. So if I have one basically the first thing would be to just observe for a few cycles. The thing is that I'm TTC. Would I be advised to stop TTC if I do have a cyst?

It depends on the cyst. A simple cyst will usually just go away without treatment. But other cysts, like loculated or hemorrhagic cysts need more attention. Depending on where you are in your cycle, it could just be a corpus luteum cyst. But if it bothers you or you have a lot of pain, then yes, go get it checked out.

As for TTC - I think it kind of depends on you and again the cyst. Some cysts will effect fertility and others don't. The ovaries are amazing things. I sustained a large ovarian growth over years and two pregnancies that went to term. But others might want to hold off for a little bit.

I've heard that castor oil packs over the ovary site can be very good with dissolving cysts. I think Blessed Thistle is good for that too. The packs are messy but effective. HTH!

What is a castor oil pack?

I've been having pain by my right ovary for 5ish weeks now. I always feel mittelschmerz so I wasn't surprised the first time I felt it. However, it keeps coming back. Every few days for the past weeks the pain will come and go. Always the right side. I've had a period in the mean time but the pain still persists.
