"Banned for _____" - wtf?

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but - what is with all the signatures/member info that say something about being banned? I'm guessing it is some kind of inside joke but am really curious. I have been a lurker for years and every time I see that I'm like, "but what does it MEAN?"

I emailed the senior title mod a while back about getting mine removed, and I never heard back.

therefore, I remain indefinitely banned

I remember that when I was here under the username Mamma Christi I was "Banned for saying she hadn't been banned yet" then I changed my subtitle to something like "UNBANNED!" and then it got changed to "Banned for unbanning herself"

lol that was good times, good times.

Well, I did try and ban everyone who was posting to the threads about being banned in TAO. Several people who don't actually post but rarely got tagged.

So, there was an attempt at being as inclusive as possible.

Yep, you were very inclusive. I am not at all "cool" or "popular." I just show up and post every once in a while - and nowhere in particular. I got "banned" and kind of enjoy retaining that banned title.
