DD is asking for hiking boots for Christmas. Can any of you recommend a good hiking boot for kids? I want something comfortable and waterproof that can be worn year round, but not a snow boot.

We love the merrell waterproof (not insultated) hiker. It ties, no velcro, so you have to be comfortable with that.
