Anyone else buying maternity clothes?

LOL! My mom and I went browsing yesterday and I ended up buying a bunch of maternity clothes. I really need them though. Several of my maternity clothes have been through a total of FOUR pregnancies--2 of mine, one of my SIL's and one of my sister's (hmm, that reminds me, I think I'll raid HER stash now, ha ha!). They're just worn out and starting to look dated.

I found some super cute stuff at Old Navy and JC Penney (they're having a sale, BTW). I got basic black A-Line skirt at JCP for $3.97 on clearance. I love a bargain!

Hope I'm not jinxing myself. Going in for another HCG draw today.

I have a thing for Japanese Weekend pants. I LOVE them. They fit me from 1T all the way through the 3rd and into postpartum. They're soooo well made. When I saw these... http://www.japaneseweekend.com/epage...ew/60-4048-051 I snatched them up. They're expensive & I never can afford them not on sale. I really want a pair of jeans, but none of them are cheap enough yet. Their jeans are super stretchy & comfy. They feel like leggings, but look like jeans & the OK support band... ahhhhh.

I'll go check out Old Navy & JCPenney. Thanks for the tip!

Oh, and I show at about 2 seconds past conception (it's my 4th babe). So, believe it or not, at 4.5 weeks, I'm in maternity bottoms. I just do not fit anything else.

Ooh, those are cute! Alas, I am not a size 5, LOL!

I feel like this is a wierd time to be pregnant, too. My other 2 babies were spring babies, so most of my winter stuff was fine until I delivered. But this time around I'll be big when it's cold AND when it's hot.

I'm still using mostly maternity clothes that my midwife's sister was done with that were passed on to me during the 3rd trimester of my first pregnancy. Until then I didn't really need maternity clothes.
With my 2nd pregnancy I needed them by 6 weeks!
With my 3rd I was soooo sick for sooo long that I didn't need them until half way through, but around 28 weeks when I got my appetite I ate EVERYTHING IN SIGHT and quickly gained more then EVER before and I actually had to go out and buy some bigger maternity shorts at the resale shops ...which I promptly wore once and gave birth the next day 3 weeks early : .
This time...who knows! Definitely not into maternity clothes yet, but I guess I'm gonna need a maternity bathing suit for my water aerobics class : .

The short answer...Yes!!! Any excuse to shop!

With my first I was 5 months when I needed them, 2nd I was about 4, so I'm expecting it a little earlier this time. My first was a Jan baby and 2nd April baby, so I have mostly winter clothes. With it getting warm here in March I've been on the hunt for summer bargains.

I'm just dying to know what this babe will be so I can start shopping! I'm not great with the gender neutral.

I never stopped wearing them! I love motherhood clothes, they're soft and roomy. I lost all my pregnancy weight so I would just fold the waistbands over a few times. I hate tight clothes and sometimes even buy motherhood clothes even when not pregnant.

well, I do love an excuse to shop but I won't be buying anything anytime soon. When I was pg with DS I went a little overboard and bought WAY too many maternity clothes. I didn't even wear all of them. and this babe will have almost the same due date so I will be wearing them about the same time (although I'm certain I will need then earlier this time).

Not yet! I actually JUST stopped wearing them with my son, I'm in no rush. I gave most of mine away although I kept a few things that I had barely worn in the beginning - luckily winter clothes, so I will wear those. I CAN NOT , I repeat, CAN NOT gain as much weight as I did last time.
I will need to buy some maternity nursing shirts though. I already have bigger nursing bras from when I had my son. I might need to buy a maternity winter coat though since it will be COLD here until May.

i am hoping to get away without maternity clothes this time. is that nuts? i have a couple pairs of low rise jeans and i bet i can get away w them just unbuttoned. and then i have a couple american apparel skirts that will totally work for the whole time.

i have 1 pair of maternity pants left, but those did not even cover my belly for the last month or so last time. i guess i will pull them out if i need them, though.

I'm sure I'll get a few things for summer, but I am a cheapskate. I'll just live with big shirts for a while. No showing yet. In cohousing, everybody gives you stuff. I've bought about 5% of the baby stuff we have. The rest was donated! Pretty cool.

Most of my maternity clothes last time came from my SIL. But she is smaller than I am, and plus all of her babies have been Feb/March babies. I have an August baby and this one. I did buy a few tank tops last time that I can wear again, but I really think I might need to get a few more summery shirts.

like a PP said my due date for this babe is only a month off from my due date for DS so hopefully most of my maternity clothes will still fit. i need to pull them out though, i think some of them will need to be replaced (like the plain t-shirts and i know 2 pairs of stretchy pants i wore like 2x/week each are prob too worn out now)

I just found my box of maternity clothes in the basement. I'll go through them and see if I need some new ones for this season, but I don't think so. I'm not a huge shopping fan anyway, at least for things beyond really cute and essentially useless baby clothes

ug i really need to! today i am just 6 weeks pregnant but none of my clothes fit! I really didn't think I gained any/much weight yet but it's been miserable fitting into anything went shopping today but was so dissapointed/frustrated. I used to wear a 10, but lately it's been more of a 12, so today I tried on 13/14s but they were all way too small. But the 16s were way too big! wtf???

Well - I think I'll have to shop this time. My clothes have been worn through at least four of my previous pregnancies and many of my friend's pregnancies. I have NOTHING in the right sizes either as my last two babies were born in February. Darn it, I'll have to get new stuff Alas - we're broke so really it won't be new but more likely from a resale store. It's new to me, though.

Yep! I'm going today to the awesome baby-stuff resale shop up the road to find some maternity pants and maybe some new bras. My jeans are already tight, my regular shirts are cutting into my arms and my bras don't fit. I can probably get away with a belly band and some larger shirts for the next little while, though. I not only want to be comfortable, I'm not ready to tell everyone about this pg yet (early days still) and it'll be hard to keep it from people if I look much more like an overstuffed sausage.

I love to shop at goodwill--so I'll start scouring the racks there to see what good stuff I can find. Otherwise, I'll wear a lot of my old stuff and I'm sure I'll splurge on a few new things, but there's no need yet. I'm guessing by the time we go to Disney in January, I'll be needing the pants, though--I was in maternity clothes by 3 months last time around, so I'm not holding my breath! I love to shop for bargains, though, so it will be a thrill!

Not yet, but I just put my jeans and they are way too tight. I could get away with this at 18 but at 31 I'm just not pulling this off very well.

You know what's funny in a sad kind of way? Today, for the first time in YEARS, I am able to fit well into a pair of size 10 jeans from the Gap. They are not even tight. I bought these and never wore them (I am normally a size 12 -14 but was like an XXXL when I was pregnant with my son - I gained over 60 pounds).

Well, I should take a picture and give it to my husband to look at when I'm 8 months pregnant and can't bend over and have total CANKLES. LOL.

I am SO not ready for maternity clothes.....

My snugger jeans were feeling too tight. I had to go to Goodwill and get some looser fitting jeans, but I am not buying maternity clothes yet.
