I already gave my DH naming rights... - Page 2

Ooh, I vote for Aidan Samuel Climb then! I think that has such a nice sound.

Okay, so my DH TOTALLY switched horses in midstream. I was just beginning to think, I could do Olivia. It is a pretty name, I was just afraid of the top 10 thing. But, then he comes to me & says... "I changed my mind about Olivia...."

I want....

RUTH!

I can do Ruth for sure! I like the name. I'm not a big fan that Ruth was the name of my DH's grandmother that died really young, but okay. Ruth!

Ruth or Roman it is! (Yes, it seems odd to have names already, I'm one that would name upon birth, but my DH LOVES to have names ,since it's his turn, so be it. )

We've had a boy name in reserve for 8 years... 4 girls later I wonder if we'll get to use it?

Yeah, sounds like us with girl names.
I keep shoving my huge list of names in front of my husband's face, but after 3 boys he's having a hard time thinking about MORE boy names, but it's his turn to chose. I like to plan ahead....he'd happily think about it until July. :

Long before we had kids, DH, who lives and dies by Excel, and I sat down and created a spreadsheet of names with a theme, first and middle, and how they would go together. The theme was to pick a name we liked for the first name, and the middle name is a place somewhere in the country of origin for that name. At first we had 2 boy and 2 girl names. We've used one of each, so now we just go to the next ones on the list. So far we have two English names, Dorian Barton, and Faith Devon. We've since added another girl name, so we have to have that many kids and in that ratio. We'll see if that actually happens for us, especially since I'm feeling like this one is a boy. Our next boy name is Irish, Quinn Douglas, and the girl name is French, Lenore Calais. The other girl name is Ariadne, which is Greek, and we haven't found a place in Greece to go along with it, but that's okay, because we won't be using it this time.

Maybe we'll use one of our girl names after all. ananas thinks I'm having a girl, and I was dead wrong with both of my kids, so maybe it's true.

I think I remember talking about this on Nursing mamas TTC....of course I LOVE : the name....that's why we chose it for DD!!!!

We had a boy name picked out with the last pg.....Jonathan (DH's dad's name....he passed when DH was a teen) Arlo.

If this one is a girl, first name Harper, middle name . I like Marin, DH says not so much. He says it does sound good together tho.....there's time to change his mind!

I recently added Marin to my girl list, just before finding out I was pregnant. I think it's beautiful.

*lurking* My son's name is Aidan Riley. I like to keep the nationality of the names the same, it has a better flow.

Spark, Olive goes with your family! It's classic and a bit quirky

I could not let my dh handle the naming, he'd just do it on the spur of the moment once baby was born! He made the final choice for our 1st and 3rd, but that was from my short list Our 2nd's name was my dreamed-of name for a boy and I wasn't budging
We will be lost if this is a girl. It took us forever to get dd's name (Erica Juliet), and I just don't like anything else at the moment
