Just a little pink?

I guess I've got to jump on the bandwagon of updating everyone with every little TMI detail.... because DH sure doesn't listen and has no clue what any of it means! I do have a question in here.

Yesterday was 37 weeks. I'm measuring "at least 38 weeks" according to the OB and at the US a couple weeks ago they said baby was 2 weeks ahead. Really I've been preparing myself to deliver any time after yesterday.

I have definately no been imagining the new little twinges and aches coming from down below, but even more "serious" is the tiny bit of pink on the tp every other time. That's not something to worry/fuss over is it? I mean, if there were an abruption or something there would be blood?

I had spotting last time I was starting labor with my first son... it can happen as your cervix is started to efface. So, something is going on! I would imagine if it were something really scary or dangerous, there would be a lot of blood. But as always, if you are really worried call your doc/MW for reassurance.

But for whatever my dime is worth... I think it's probably your cervix getting ready.

Have you been checked lately? Or anything in the vagina?

To me it doesn't sound like anything to worry about, esp if its just a little. I have always been told anything closer to a period is bad.

TMI - do you have hemorrhoids by any chance?

My OB, thankfully does no poking or prodding unless there's an issue. It's been on and off since yesterday and VERY light, not hardly noticible except I've been looking

The twitches and *almost* cramps made me perk up. Last time labor was totally out of the blue. I mean, I really did not expect to be giving birth at 37w1d so I'm paying attention this time!

A little pink when you wipe, as long as you're sure it's not a hemorrhoid, is probably from your cervix. It's a good sign at this point! Of course, feel free to double-check with your OB's office. An abruption usually occurs after trauma (or if you do cocaine), and is generally accompanied with copious bleeding and abdominal pain.

Next I bet you'll have more blood, along with the mucus plug. Another good sign! Way to go mama!

Sounds like a good sign to me! That was my first sign of labor with dd2, about 24 hours before I was really into active labor. Will we be waking up to another birth announcement?

Ha! I've been saying this whole time that this LO's bday will be the 8th or the 18th... aaaaaand, I'm "ready" for a baby because I just got the sling I ordered in the mail and the car seat. I am missing several CD components like fasteners, a pail/liner and a chunk of prefolds I ordered, don't have too many girly clothes or a nursing bra but all those things I can do without... because now i have a sling

Seriously, they're that great.
