Post Partum Mama Cloth ?

I really need to get working on some post partum mama cloth, but I'm not sure how many layers to make them. I usually use a Diva cup for AF so all I have is some small liners made with a couple layers but that obviously won't work for PP. I have a lot of flannel and PUL scraps left over from diaper making, and I plan to make my pads in the style of Luna Pads (snap in waterproof liner with a thicker removable top pad.) How many layers of flannel will I need to use? Also, can I top them with suedcloth or microfleece?

TIA!

ETA: I went through my scrap bags and I also have a lot of t-shirt material too. So between t-shirts and flannel, what's an good combo?

For PP, I'd use *at least* 10 layers of flannel or jersey (t-shirt material), probably more like 12 or 14.

For my "regular" pads I use 1 layer of terrycloth and 2 layers of flannel. Do you have any terrycloth you could use (old towels/washcloths will work too)? I think 2-3 layers of terry with 1 layer of flannel or jersey would be good for PP.
