I named the baby Cracker Jax

One of my latest dreams is, well, embarassing! In my dream I was envious of Serina's (welldone) baby name, Asher Jase (which I think is adorable!).

So I told hubby we needed something really cute too. I named the baby Cracker Jax.

Thank goodness it's just a dream!

I did ask hubby what he thought of the name Asher though

this subject line made me burst out laughing. thank you!

(also, NOT a worse name than pilot inspektor or anything that robert rodriguez named his kids, so.)

Don't you have a Jackson? I was thinking this post was about his nickname :

I thought this was a snarky response to people's annoying questions about "do you have a name yet?" For a long time, our leading boy's name was Hieronymus, no lie, and people thought we were kidding! (we've since come up with a different boy's name)

i met a 4 yo boy the other day and his name is geronimo!!!!! its funny when people ask megh what her baby brothers name is and she says sheamas and if she is stuffy it sounds like jamus. i can tell a lot of people don't care for the name sheamas but i don't care. i love it.

so gina, how does hubby like asher?

That's funny. I was IM'ing with dh earlier today, knowing that we would be out of contact for several days and knowing that I've been incredibly crampy (to the point of tears a few times) today. So, I asked him if this baby comes out a surprise boy before he gets here if I could name him Noah. To which he replied "no". So, I asked him what his top boy name choice was? He said "Don't know." I said, "well deals sealed then, you have no ideas, I get to name him Noah if you're not here." He responded "no." So, I guess if this baby is born before he gets here, and it's a boy, he will go home nameless and wearing pink. We're still arguing about a girls name too. I hate that we do this every time. Last time around we waited about 3 hours before naming dd2 after she was born. We have such a hard time settling on a name.

We did knickname the baby Cheddar for a while! And Jackson was going to be knicknamed Jax at one point. And I saw a guy on TV named Pickel (yes, el, not le) the other day. And I have seen a kid named Owl Picnic.

So I guess Cracker Jax isn't all that bad, eh?

Hubster didn't know about Asher. I will have to ask again

Names are definitely funny...what a great dream though.

We went into the hospital with a list when I had DD (she was a surprise too) and we'll do the same this time. But I still tell my DH that if he has no input then I'm going ahead and naming the baby myself.

Cheddar. Mmmm....

I still think you should use Cheddar!

I LOVE the name Sheamus (or Seamus)... but DH (being Greek) said it was too Irish.. sounding for our LN... and with my name Bailey (no, I'm not Irish.. British , actually) everyone would really think I am Irish!

Love Sheamus!!!

don't worry about what others think, we are not getting tons of pos feedback on Dean James but we love it so.... poo on them!

hee, YOU could name the baby Hieronymus! it's the greek version of Geronimo, and means "holy name".

I *am* irish, and my husband is scottish, and we picked a fairly normal name for our daughter, but then I found this beautiful gaelic spelling for it, and so she's going to be cursed for life by people who can't spell or pronounce her name without help. I only hope that as she grows, she'll appreciate how unique the spelling of her name is.
