Butt Paste?!

So we just got another (that makes 4) thing of "butt paste"/diaper cream or what ever else you want to call it.

What the heck do I do with it? The tub we got today was monster size.

We are one of the only ones in our friend group having a baby, so all our friends think it's funny to get us this stuff... but seriously.... should I donate it or what?

i have heard of this stuff...seen it but never used it on megh. anyone else??? i had to keep trying different stuff w/ megh.... burts bees diaper rash stuff and soaps i found i didn't like at all..... i wound up mostly using baby powder, the medicated one. that seemed to work. megh also got too much moisture under her little neck when she didn't have a neck to be seen anyway, and it got all nasty and cut looking and oh it was awful. i think the powder helped dry it up...and on her diaper rashes. but to each his or her own......experiment w/ different brands and ingredients is all i have for wisdom.

I hate to say this but...

...the stuff is miracle stuff!!!

I've used it ( when nothing else worked and I've tried everything on my youngest daughter's bottom - she's prone to bottom rashes the likes that no one has ever seen and the only thing that works is butt paste!

We've used it on the girls when they were little. I wasn't a huge fan of it, but I guess it was just as good as most of the mainstream diaper rash creams. Good for when your little one is very rashy. Seriously, I doubt you'll go through 4, but then I used diaper rash cream rather sparingly. Some people I know put it on almost every time. If you are using cloth diapers, the butt paste and most any other diaper rash cream will stain your diapers and if you are using fleece lined diapers, it will cause them to repel instead of let the pee go through.

I heard it was good stuff so I bought a small tube of it. Never had a baby so I really have no idea but I figure it can't hurt to have some diaper cream just in case. I know it has a funny name but dang, 4 tubs?

I've heard this too... we are using cloth, a combo of bumgenius, fuzzi bunz and prefolds.... which means not compatible with diaper creams.... let alone 4 tubs.

This stuff works miracles. Don't use it with cloth diapers but I myself kept 2 prefolds for rashes and would use the cream with them. Wonderful!

I think I may be the only one who does not like it! I think it smells hinky and it doesn't stick to baby's butt like I think a diaper creme should. I do, however really like Burt's Bees which forms an almost waterproof layer on baby's bum... totally protecting them all night. I think it's "okay" with cloth diapers but not 100% recommended (Burt's bees that is).

Target sells both, see if they will let you do an exchange!

I got 3 of these as gifts too! Word is people love it. My DD1 never got diaper rash so I am not very up to date on what is good and what isn't. I'm all for a Butt Paste donation.

My mother in law used to work with the lady that races the butt paste stock car. She swears by the stuff, but the first time I used it on DD, it just made the rash worse. Haven't had problems with it since though.
