What the hell....ouch!

Physically this pregnancy has been pretty comfy. Been able to keep up with workouts, etc. No real bad pain....just regular pregnancy aches. I quit running a couple months ago because pressure frm baby hurt. So I am walking a lot for cardio. I still run here and there some days. So I go for a little walk tonight. Short one. This is a bit more uncomfortable now that she has dropped so low. I get home, move around some, and suddenly feel like someone squeezed vice grips around an internal ligament that runs inside the area of my bikini line on the right side. ALmost made my leg buckle. Figued it was an odd spasm...maybe my walk shifted baby around or something. Then it did it several more times this evening. I am now realizing the baby is punching on my bladder, cervix etc.

I THINK she has a hand by some pile of nerves around that ligament because everytime she moves it is like someone popped my groin with a BB gun. Little stinker.

I called my midwife a few weeks ago because it felt like my baby was trying to DIG her way out of my cervix. I feel you, mama.

We all want baby to go heads down and to the back yadda yadda, and once they do it seems we suffer for it. Sorry to laugh but wow the things we put up with to be Mommy!

Joanna, I think that baby is telling you to sit down already and get off your feet. I can't believe that you "still run here and there some days." Even when in my own brand of peak physical condition, I don't run unless something big is chasing me.

Don't mind me, I'm just in awe.

I keep picturing that cartoon with the guys trying to escape from jail (may have been a warner bros one) by digging through the wall, and when the prison guard comes they fill the hole back in with dirt and try to act inconspicuous... whistling and looking innocent... I bet your baby is trying to act like s/he is not up to any mischief!

Oh, that's not the only way my baby conforms to that motif. S/he's been posterior this entire time (I think s/he'll stay that way until transition, myself) and I think it's because s/he likes the attention when s/he moves and my belly does crazy undulations. However, when I verbally call people's attention to said movement, s/he STOPS!

My husband says the baby's like the WB frog, you remember the one, who would sing and dance for the owner, but when anyone else was looking, it would just sit there and ribbit.
