? about mucus plugs

I have noticed over the last few days sometimes when I wipe I will have a bit stuff on the tissue that is thicker than egg white, it is in blobs. Sorry, I don't really know how to describe it. It doesn't have any sort of pink tinge, but maybe white or a little yellowish. Could this be part of my mucous plug or just more typical pregnancy discharge?

And when people say they see chunks of their mucous plug...how big are these chunks? Maybe a strange question, but everytime I read that I imagine this big marble sized blob.

Give me the nitty gritty on mucous plugs girls.

I wish I could be of more help. I know I lost mine but it was mixed with blood both dark and bright from the midwives stripping my membrains and I lost it over two days. There was sooooo much and it was so gross. I had thought I lost it before that after seeing what your talking about but I think I was wrong then! LOL

Mucous plugs are a little more clumpy and tissue-y. (At least whenever I've seen mine.) The increase in mucous and changes in color and consistency are completely normal aspects of pregnancy. I see more for a day or two after I've DTD as well. Just your body working like a self cleaning oven!

Ive had that too. I was thinking maybe I was getting yeasty.

My mucous plus last time looked like a huge bloody booger. LOL

So that's why I'm walking around in a t-shirt, while DH is in 4 layers because I refuse to turn on the heat even though there's a nice layer of fost outside. I'm a self-cleaning oven!

I never saw my mucus plug at all when I had DD. My water began to trickle and I didn't see anything coming out from "down there" until bloody show.

I've read that it can break up slowly and can be seen as increased d/c. But I honestly don't know. I think of chunks myself.

Oddly, even though I have no idea what I'm looking for, I'm looking too.

I had an interesting experience this morning which I think may have been part of my mucous plug. I peed and wiped and since I always check the toilet for mucous plug and saw this long stringy thing. I hope it was my mucous plug! There was no blood or anything though.

I just have to plug in how funny that we are watch this so close. I just peed and checked and saw a microscopic speck of bloody twinged mucus and was pumped...lol. Love the end of pregnancy.

i would sure say it sounds like parts of mucous plug to me...mine came out all at once w/ megh...it was yellowish and mucousy/sticky like....yeah, i'd say your body's gearing up mama.

My TMI for the day... NOT TO BE READ WHILE EATING!

I've been having more cx's the past few days, and WOW...I know I'm loosing my plug. I had some chunks yesterday (like size of grapes) and then when I woke up today, I was suddenly very scared - I felt something in my vag - so, I composed myself enough to reach in expecting to feel a cord, hand, head...but it was the biggest piece of mucus you could imagine (think apple) . It was so big I yelled for DH who came running, and promptly thanked me for ruining his breakfast.

All day I've been passing more, and I'm starting to see a bit of blood in it. But, no real signs of labor besides the on/off cx's that I've been having for weeks.
But, it is reassuring to know my body is doing something...and hopefully will not end in an induction like I did for DS. I never saw a plug with him, so this is all new to me!

Otherwise, it's like someone blew their nose in your underpants.

Holy Moses!! Now, THAT's a plug! I have never heard of so much mucous in my life!

This is exactly what I have been seeing since Monday. Hopeing it meanns something is happening.
