I learned my lesson the first time with Motherhood - when you shop there they always offer you your "2 Free issues of Parents magazine", and of course you have to give them all your info to get it. Thats when my formula samples/ ads/ coupons/ formula company propaganda began. This time around I didnt buy a single thing from Motherhood, in boycott. Because we're homebirthing I desperately hope to avoid the onslaught of crap this time. All the stuff we got from the hospital ( our 'Breastfeeding Success Bag' which contained formula coupons, samples, diaper samples, and a booklet on 'breastfeeding' that said over and over that its ok to supplement with formula, everyone does it, etc

I gave to the foodbank/outreach center at our church.
I did go to Babies r Us to get a cover for my Boppy last month, and they asked me when my duedate was and for all my info and I refused to give it, and they gave me a really hard time about not giving them the info.
Maisiedotes, that just breaks my heart. I am so sorry you're still having to deal with that.

My little sister's twin brother died at 3 days old ( they were 26 week preemies), but my mom still got magazines/ formula samples/ fliers with 'Your twins are (this) old!' and other twin-related stuff in the mail for YEARS. She tried calling them many times begging to get herself off these twin mailing lists but they never would take her off. The stuff just kept coming until they eventually moved when my sister was 6. I think thats so, so distasteful and rotten.
