Last week vs. This week

So yeah, I'm neurotic about being checked at the end. I'm not obsessing about going into labor, but I'm always so curious about what's going on in there...

At 34 weeks: fingertip dilated, not really effaced at all.

At 36 weeks: she could get two cm if she tried and again, not too effaced.

At 36w6d: solid 2cm, stretchy to about a 4, 75% effaced, and 0 station.


I call that "progress" It's also "par for the course" and I'll likely be hanging in there like this for weeks, but that's okay. I couldn't believe the amount of change in just one week...6 days, really.

GBS negative, too, so I'm very happy about that. Gonna keep on keepin' on!

I'm super curious about what is going on in there too...so you aren't alone. I'm just thankful for an OB that doesn't do routine checks so I'd have to be *really* curious to ask at the desk prior to being taken back. Otherwise, I have my pants on when the OB comes in the room. Not real conducive or easy to give in.

You are making progress. Which is awesome. At least you're keeping it in perspective though. I know too many people who say that where you are now (2cm and such) means it'll happen real soon. It may...but you never know.

Curiosity may get the best of me on Tuesday. We shall see.
