My water broke too! It's not entirely clear though... *UPDATE* she's here!

No doubt about it - my water broke last night. I'm not having regular contrax and I'm GBS- so I'd rather wait to call the doc. I've read some posts this morning saying if the liquid is clear then it's fine to wait to go to the hospital. Maybe TMI: the fluid had little white chunks in it, like maybe it was vernix. I'm 40w6d so it's possible that vernix is already off the baby, right? It's not brown or green like meconium at all, just little floaty white specks. Has anyone else experienced this?

My water was only semi-clear with both kids, it was kind of off white, almost like soapy water. HTH!

When my water broke at 40wks 4days with our last it had little chunks of white. And yup it was just the vernix. William came out shiney clean!

Thanks for all the positive labor vibes ladies! :

Contrax are still 25-30 min apart and I'm still having occasional gushes of fluid. I still haven't called the doc b/c I don't want to be "time stamped" until the contrax get closer together. I saw Jessica's (wwisdomskr) advice to Johanna (jojo) so I'm taking my temp regularly and obsessively changing pads. Slow and steady... I'll have my baby soon!

Oh yeah the new moon is this evening at 6:03 EST.

Yay, I'll light my birth candle for you.

I'm not sure what the advice was in the other thread but I got my contractions going with DD by drinking cumin tea. But definitely take your temperature, monitor what is coming out, and do what you can to get contractions going.

YAY...you're going to have a baby soon.
