what do you ladies think of the 'early response HPT'? I read (on the company website), that you can test up to 5 days prior to when you would expect AF.

have any of you successfully used this test?

I'm only 5DPO, and starting to feel impatient and anxious to know...as are all of you!

cheers,
charlene
This is the test I used at 8 DPO and got a BFP after two hours, but no other test has given me a BFP. I don't think my days line up right, but it's starting to seem like I might be....

On an off topic...how do I get my chart to be that neat little emoticon-type thingy on everyone else's signature?
Ahem: I think you missed my post to you.

Results aren't accurate after 10 minutes. I wouldn't trust a test that early, especially if it didn't change until *after* the maximum wait time.

I keep telling myself that, but it's just not clicking!

With both of my boys a strong BFP didn't show up until 17 & 18 DPO. Before that it took 10+ minutes and I had to strain to see the line. I'm not getting my hopes up b/c like I said my BD & O days just do not line up.

LOL! Well, then, even more reason to wait! It will be here before you know it.

I don't think your previous post was directed at me (I knew how to create the homepage etc....) but thanks! It worked. :-)

And is the early response hpt the same as First Response or are those different? I have a feeling I am going to cave and test tomorrow (10dpo). But I have a nice stash of tests so I am good for all the days up to the day after AF is due! lol
My name is Jennifer....and I am a POAS-aholic. Admitting it is the first step right?

I thought it was? I didn't mean you didn't know how to create the home page, I meant that's where the address is. Er...? Anywho glad you figured it out!

According to the POAS website, FRER has a sensitivity of 25, and regular FR has a sensitivity of 100 (means you have to have more HCG for it).

I was just reading the POAS showdown on the website, and it seems like all the blue-dye tests show + lines better than the pink/purple dye tests. Pretty interesting. When I do POAS again I may consider getting a blue-dye test just for the heck of it. I've thought about digitals, but I kind of like the idea of seeing lines appear lol.

What do you all think my chances are?

I would say slim chances of being pregnant. The 11th seemed way to far away from your O day on the 18th to have the little spermies still alive. and the 20th is 2 days after O, even if you Oed late in the day on the 18th you had stick CM both the 19 & 20th it is not really conducive to helping sperm on their journey.

I have also read that the blue tests also have WAY more false positives & evaps. But I can't remember where I read that. I know their was a thread about it in this forum within the few months. Hmmmm

I guess I'm in this group, although I don't have high hopes for this cycle. Am I one day or seven days past O? lol...ff moved my crosshairs a couple times from cd12 to 13 and back...but my cm supports day 17 as O date.

Anyway I'm now ready to believe I have indeed O'd, probably way back on cd12 like ff says, with freak cm after O. Which would put me at 7dpo and technically ready to test around Thanksgiving.

But, I got depressed staring at a lot of bfns last cycle - I'm sure I don't hold the record but it still does get old doing the staring, staring, staring, tossing, trash-digging, staring, staring game, kwim?

You forgot the...holding it up to the light.......taking it to a different light source...peeing on it again..........;-)
I'd say most of the frustration comes from seeing so many of those BFN's so maybe we should just stop peeing on them and wait for AF to never show....but I am a POAS-aholic and can't help myself either.
Don't get discouraged.....it's an incredible journey- just longer for some but well worth it.

Sorry Luna I wasn't meaning I was offended or anything! LOL And sorry you aren't feeling well tonight but maybe it's for a good reason? wink wink!!!

I have an early-pg-test.com test, a FRER, and a Clearblue non-digital. If I was going to test tomorrow a.m. (10dpo) which one would be my best bet?

i'm trying very hard to hold out and not POAS today. I even peed into a little tupperware, covered it, and stuck it in the fridge.

it's just last night i felt SO VILE... and i am 10 dpo, which usually means a temp drop for me, since AF shows 11/10dpo, but i actually had a mini temp spike. even DH, the skeptic, is like "are you sure you're about to get your period? i think you might be pregnant, you look a little different" (read: like ass)

let's see. i really want to hold out and not test until 12dpo, but it's SO HARD TO RESIST! :

i got a false + last month with a blue dye test, and i hear it happens often. after the emotional stress it caused me, and all the money i spent on other tests trying to get the same result, i'll never use one again.

I guess there's no more chance...

Ladies, you have been so kind and supportive to me. I definitely started to think I was pregnant - no was CONVINCED (physically, emotionally, and otherwise), and you guys seemed to think so too considering your replies & the poll results on my FF page.

Unfortunately, after reaching a record high of 98.08 yesterday, my temp dropped waaaay down to 97.34. : I stayed up a couple hours later last night than I have been lately, but I don't think that would make that big of a difference, and the thermostat in our apartment is the same as it has been pretty much the entire time I've been temping.

Still no sign whatsoever of AF. I still have very tender nipples, and I've never had something like that for as long as it's been. And I definitely don't understand the nausea I had for 3 hours last night. I don't know how to explain it. But I think AF is on the way (even without physically feeling like it) with that big of a temp drop. I'm glad I didn't run out and buy any tests last night.

You have more restraint than me. I tested and got BFN (10 dpo) but my temp went up again so I'm not out yet.

Luna So sorry about the temp drop. My guess is that AF would be tomorrow....but at least then you could move on right?

Does anyone know which stays constant - your LP or # cycle days?
I usually have a 27 day cycle but I ovulated 2 days early this time so should I expect AF 2 days early as well?

I was wonderign the same thing! I usually O around day 14 or 15 of my cycle, but this time I O on day 20!!! My usual LP is around 14 days. Does this mean I shouldnt wait for AF until 14 dpo or should I wait for it on CD 29 (ONLY 9 DPO)
I remember reading in FF that your LP never changes, how true is this? Has anyoen ever Od late and thus has had their AF arrive late too? Confused :

Luna: I hope that you're still not out of the game, I was stalking yoru chart too and it did look very promising! Im crossign my figners that that temp drop was a fluke for ya!

If anyone has any opinions on my chart please share this is my first time temping and I dont knwo how its looking so far. Thoughts, ideas anyone?

I am pretty sure it is your LP, as your # of days can change. Technically, 14 dpo you should get AF.

Well, I have been lurking this thread. And still stalking HulaJenn's chart.(It always looks so good) I had a big drop in temp today, so AF should be here today or tomorrow. Which is about right, I am 7dpo. I can't seem to have longer LP's than that. FF couldn't even tell me when I o'd. I am pretty sure I know. I have been fairly consistent at CD 19. I am really ok with it, though. There is a sense of peace flowing over me.

I spoke with my Ob/Gyn the other day and thoroughly frustrated with the medical science world and their lack of understanding FAM. Long story short, she suggested I try a cycle of OPK's to make sure I know when I am O'ing. Doesn't she know that FAM is more accurate? And she felt that if I went to an RE, they would put me on Clomid and tell me to stop bf'ing. I am not doing either of them. I know I am o'ing, so why go on Clomid? So it can dry up my cf. How are the sperm suppose to swim? Neither DD or I am ready to stop Bf'ing.

So, I am getting their with acceptance of being a family of 3. I love reading the thread and I can't wait to see some BFPs!!
