I get to pick the book for my December book club discussion. I want something that's going to put everyone into a wintery mood, with lots of snow and atmosphere. Something that would be best read in front of a big fire with a mug of mulled cider and your favorite slippers. Do any of you have any ideas for me?
(Our book club, by the way, is through my mothers' group. We've read fiction and non-fiction and have pretty wide tastes, but would probably want to stay clear of 1000 page epics...Tolstoy's probably right out.)
