Let go and release your sweet baby, Kimmy. You've held on for so long. You've done such an amazing job through this really difficult pregnancy. You're doing an amazing job now... I'm so proud of you. It's safe and okay to birth now.

Praying for you today Kimmy. Will they make you go to the hospital? I sure hope not. You don't need that stress without dh there.

Not good.

I slept again till 7am. Called Midwives and they said eat, walk and breast pump and see if contractions start again. I was to cry. I want to break down, I want to scream at them for not even coming in the last 24 hours to help with any of this. But I can't. I have to stay peaceful and relaxed.

My doula has to leave, her mother went into ICU last night with heart issues after back surgery. Paid the sitter $100 for watching my kids and my birth supports all night. I am getting REALLY low on available cash till pay day on the 15th. Not sure I can afford another sitter and have no friends able to watch them all. Meaning now my birth support has to watch all the kids leave me.... alone. Trying to stay calm. I really do not care if I catch this baby myself as long as baby comes soon.

What in the heck are the midwives thinking and why are they not here trying to help?

oh mama.........................................hang in there......you can do this. how are you doing? maybe put on some nice music you enjoy??? :"she's a brick house...she's mighty mighty...letting (her baby) out..."

just remember the circle of mamas here that are all around you RIGHT NOW... i'm thinking about you.......hugs and love to you.

ps-that is great that your doula knew how to check your cervix- those MW's need to come and be w/ you for at least a while to check you and give you comfort. maybe you won't be in a lot of pain...i don't get why they won't come to at least check in with you...wtf!? anyway... in the meantime, after you demand they come, relax and just go w/ the flow...you will have this baby and be holding her within a few hours. just remember also that if you do go to the hospital you don't have to do what they say...just go with your flow...tell them how you want to lay/sit/stand and do it mama. you can do this. does your doula have a backup? i am sure any doula at this point would wait for money on the 15th. just call someone and have them be w/ you...someone who knows birth. i wish i had a darn match or lighter cuz i want to light a candle for you and baby. i must go get one now from my mothers condo... in the meantime, here are 2 for you both:

see post below cuz now i can't add smilies...

baby coming

Please do not be scared, it will be fine. It is not your first baby, so you know how it works. God Bless You!

Kimmy,
Be assertive. You need your midwives and so they should be there. It's their job. Even if they don't stay...they should come and offer some emotional support. It's okay to break down. Sometimes it's part of the process. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kimmy, have you considered doing castor oil or black and blue cohosh or something a bit more to help bring along labor? And I agree, those mw's need to get over to see you, at least for a little while, to check on you and the baby and make sure all is okay. I'm so sorry your labor support is gone. I can't imagine how alone you feel. I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could. Also, if it's really necessary, I don't know if you have USAA, but you can get an advance with them and most banks since you have direct deposit. Just call them if it gets to that point.

Been there before...don't be afraid of using this option if you have to.

I can get a line of credit with my bank but I would have to go in to do paper work for it and um.... thats not happening in the next few days. Pay day is on Thursday..... not too far. Has to be ok. Just no funds for a sitter again.

My good news is I called the Midwives and got different info. with no fever they will let me go days like this, waiting for labor. I explained doula is leaving, birth support is taking all the kids to church, and I will be alone and I worry something is wrong with baby as I have been at least a 4 for a week. So they are sending a midwife out to check heart tones and make me feel better. I am ok with being alone actually. I am going to try and sleep some before trying the pump and house work again. Part of my issue is my boobs hurt so much now and my legs do too.

Why are they not trying herbs or anything?

Either way, it seems I have more time then they let on yesterday.

Can nothing be easy? Why me?

Oh sweetheart, I'm feeling the same way. They may not be suggesting herbs because they may not feel that you're open to that. You might want to ask them directly, "should I try cohosh or castor oil? Might that help things along?" My midwives never suggested Evening Primrose Oil until I finally mentioned it at 40 weeks, because they knew I was more mainstream and felt if I wanted that stuff, I would ask.

Good luck, honey. I'm with you in the "gimme a baby, already!" camp.

Mothers are amazing.

After fighting for this homebirth, baby started real labor at 8pm tonight and I was holding her in the birthing pool by 1am. I would dare even call it easy and after the waters having been broken for over 49 hours, her and I are in wonderful health.

More tomorrow. Thank you ladies for being strong when I felt so lost.

19 1/2 inches Long and 7lbs 10oz.

And I never got lost in that place between worlds.
