How much blood is normal?

I had contractions about 20 minutes apart all evening and went to bed early since I was up since 5am. I have been having contractions while sleeping, but I don't know how far apart.

I got up just a little while ago to go to the bathroom and found some blood. My contractions are still more than 10 minutes apart, so it could be a while longer. I am up now to gauge how far apart my contractions are to see where things stand.

The baby is moving some so I am not too worried about him, but I am just wondering how much blood would be considered too much?

(I can't believe I might be one of the next ones!)

Last Friday when I was losing my plug, membrains where stripped, there was a lot more blood then I would have guessed normal actually, both dark and bright. I kept saying gross and it dripped on my toilet seat a few times even. Ewwwwww.

(((hugs)))

I am still waiting on baby. I would have been back earlier but our internet service went down totally. : Of all days! I have been having to keep manual track of the ctx instead of being able to use the contraction master site.

I still have a bit of bloody show here and there.

Yesterday and last night my contractions got to 7 minutes apart but after I went back to bed (3:30am) they quit by morning.

I got up this morning and they started back up and stayed at 15 minutes apart for hours and hours and now they are down to around an hour apart.

I do have another question, though.

Can you have real contractions mixed with BH contractions? In the last few hours the contractions changed from the type that start in the back and wrap around front, to ones that feel just a bit crampy and tighten just the front of my belly. The new ones don't feel just like the BH did, but since this is my first time, it is taking me a while to figure out what each new sensation is.

The weirdest sensation yet was when baby dropped and it felt like he was trying to burrow out the wrong end. HA!
