Nurse out - where have we nursed this week?

I thought it might be interesting, considering the headlines on Mothering right now -- to keep track of where everyone's nursing this week to increase breastfeeding awareness. . .

For us. . . we nursed in the waiting room at the doc's office, in Applebees during the lunch-time rush (in front of a cute little girl who was playing with my dd - she kept saying "Mama, what's she doing????" until her mom answered "She's feeding her baby - just like I used to feed you."), in church during the sermon (my stepdad's the pastor and said he could her her smacking her lips in the middle of the sermon but he encourages me to feed her whenever and wherever!). That's about it for me - it's been a slow week as we're both sick!

We were on vacation, so I nursed at a bunch of different places.

I nursed her in the hotel lobby, in a Rocking Chair at the Pottery Barn outlet, at the state capitol, at the Alamo, and at several different restaurants.

I wish DD liked to NIP these days, but she's much too interested in what else is going on. I tried nursing her in Applebee's, but she wanted nothing to do with it...a few sips and she was done. She did nurse a bit in BRU, but I was in the special room they provide, so I doubt we raised much awareness! I also nursed her at the Motherwear outlet store, but that's like preaching to the converted!

I just got back to work and DS came to visit, so we nursed in the office...unfortunately with the door closed. I've become a pumping mama, and I'm educating everyone I work with about the benefits of b/f and pumping!

My favorite "strange" place to nurse is in the subway - we have about a 20-minute ride, so I just latch DS on under the sling, and he's happy the whole time!

Hi ladies

On Sat. I nursed at BRU and at the park later that day.
Sun was one of the nurse outs at the mall. I nursed there and then at Ruby Tuesdays afterwards. Then we went to my moms and I nursed on her front porch.
Mon. I nursed at the peds office when I went in to hang up a flyer for our nurse out on Thurs.
Tues I nursed at the park across the street as well as today.

The day ain't over yet!

We nursed at the local county fair on Sunday. It was dairy cow day so I had a lot of company And I noticed at least 2 other nursing human moms.

And today our moms group nursed during lunch at Nordstroms cafe but they do that every week.

I'm surprised I haven't seen any advertising for breastfeeding week except for what I've seen online.

I nursed DS in parks yesterday and today. That's where I most often NIP. Sunday, I nursed him at DS' company picnic. I was afraid I'd get comments there, but I didn't!

At the carnival, at the mall,at work(where the UPS man came over to see ds and whipped his head away when he realized what we were doing), at BRU, on my front porch, at a Creative Memories party

Hmmm, let's see. Off the top of my head...At the drugstore, at the beach, at several restaurants, at Party City, at a Bikram yoga studio, on a bench outside the arts festival in Laguna beach.

My favorite this week: at the mortgage loan officer's office while we were working on a refinance. :LOL It occured to me that maybe I should get a sitter for this "business" type meeting, but hey -- I was doing them a favor giving them my business, kwim?

We also nursed in the checkout at the grocery store. Didn't even phase the older guy I was talking to who was in front of me in line. The clerk I usually chat with was pretty busy wiping down his counter, though, lol.
