You didn't see my undies drawer.

Next up!

5 things from under DC's bed

or

3 things hanging on your fridge
Thanks for this! I did the fridge.

Next, 5 books you're finished with

or

10 things from the basement/storage
Whew, 10 items from my basement have been tossed (6 computer books for long gone computers, old computer supplies/accessories).

Next person...

Find 5 items of clothing that can be donated (take them out to your car to drop off later today)

OR

get rid of 6 items from you collection of tupperware or other plastic food containers (does everything have matching lids? If not, toss it out).

Great! I had a bag of clothes that is now in my trunk. It may be there a while as I can't go today, but it's a step!

Next person:

Go through your pantry and find 4-5 items to donate this week. (B/c it's a holdiay week, most grocery stores have boxes for donated items)

or

Go through a pile that's bugging you (mail, kids school papers or artwork, magazines, etc.) and put everything in it's place or recycle it.

OK, so I just did my own! I went through a giant pile of mail and put (almost) everything where it's supposed to go. I even made a few phone calls and paid a buried bill. Ahhhhh.... I feel so much better!

next person:

Go through your pantry and find 4-5 items to donate this week. (B/c it's a holdiay week, most grocery stores have boxes for donated items)

or

Go through DC's clothes and get rid of everything that no longer fits or is no longer seasonable. Put these things in their proper places, ie, to donate, consign, toss, etc.

I now have a huge bag ready for pick-up on Saturday. Good timing

Next up:

Clear off the top of your kitchen or dining room table!

~OR~

Clean out your purse/laptop bag/diaper bag!
Done. My island and my kitchen table are clean now.

So....I'm having a hard time coming up with a new one....

Go through your spice cabinet and throw away out-of-date/unused bottles.

-OR-

Go through the bath toys and throw away the icky ones.
I just threw out some bath toys.

New one:
Put away or toss in a load of laundry (I know you have some)
or
throw away 5 cosmetic items that are over a year old

Yes, I just did this. DD decided to drag the blanket off our bed and across the dog's :

So, it's now being washed -- we need it tonight!!

Next up (I'm stealing unused options from the previous posts )

Throw away 5 cosmetic items that are over a year old

~OR~

Go through your spice cabinet and throw away out-of-date/unused bottles

Thank you for throwing the spice cabinet back into the mix because I just finished mine. 7 items consolidated and 12 items tossed. Wow...it looks awesome. I never knew I had so much room in there.

Now...

Toss the garbage/litter collecting in your car

OR

Toss 6 items from your medicine cabinet or other bathroom storage
post #31 of 35
Done. That bathroom drawer has been driving me crazy! I only managed to get rid of 11 things but it's a start, right?

So...

Remove anything questionable or unused from your fridge door (inside). And don't just move stuff to the shelves, either!

-or-

throw away the litter/garbage collecting in your car

OK, I did the fridge -- we're heading to the supermarket, so now was as good a time as any

I'm totally re-using these

Next:

5 items from your underwear/sock drawer

~OR~

Clean out your coupon envelope and recycle the expired!
Cleaned out the sock drawer and threw away the expired coupon hanging on the fridge!

Now:
Sweep down the cobwebs around your porch light
~OR~
Look in your nightstand drawer and put away everything that doesn't belong there.
Swept the cobwebs (and dusted around the door frames and did the light fixtures inside on the way ).

Now:

Declutter 5 pices of paper on your desk
~or~
Toss 4 things from your junk drawer (if you have one )
I decluttered more than five pieces of paper...closer to 60! That really needed to be done.

NOW

Go through your lotions/makeup and throw away four expired or empty bottles

OR

Take a trash bag around the house for 10 minutes and find items to donate to goodwill or your choice donation drop off.
