Cleaning party? please - Page 2

I have to work all day today so only enough time to eat, shower, get dressed and get out the door. But I have a lot of cleaning for tomorrow so I hope to see everyone then. Good luck!

I'll join you tommorrow I need to do a once through the whole house before a friend comes over. The house just got deep cleaned over the weekend so everything is pretty much put away. I just need to put away the random things the kids have pulled out, give the kitchen and bathroom a good wipe down, fold the laundry and vacuum/mop the floors. I'm hoping to do most of it before the kids get up otherwise they undo my work

Deep cleaning a whole house? I'm excited to get one room done. I'm impressed.

I got a ton done yesterday, and I'm just finishing up breakfast and ready to go.

I have the most lovable cat on my lap I so don't want to get up and empty the dishwasher. :

DH is going to take DS to Spanish class in an hour so I'll have time to make tracks. It seems I can get about 10x as much done when he's not helping.

Whew.

OK, got the kitchen, dining room, and family room cleaned. Got a load of dishes in the dw. Laundry started. And they just walked in the door.

I do this already, and didn't know there was a thread about it. I'm constantly running around doing things, and then taking short breaks to check here.

Okay, in the next 30 minutes, I'm going to try and:

~pick up kitchen/playroom/living room
~switch out laundry
~make the girls' beds upstairs
~clean up the dog poop in the backyard

I'm being optimistic, but hey, nothing wrong with setting the bar high, right?

ETA- It took more like 50 min, but I had to put the dollhouse back together and eat some goldfish crackers

Going to start folding laundry now

Oh, this morning so far I've done the dishes, picked up around the house.

OK, it's not so much cleaning but today is the day I'm going to get my act together for Thanksgiving. We just decided 2 days ago that we're not going out to dinner and we're hosting 9 people instead. I have no menu. I have no shopping list. I have no turkey.

After brunch I'm going to make up the menu and shopping list, and call the butcher about being past the turkey ordering deadline. I'm also going to dig up the roasting pan, the springform pan,and find the 5-gallon brining bucket. Oh, and the turkey baster, which DS was using for a "project".

OK, it's Monday and I've got a lot to do for the holiday and guests so I'm reviving this thread, which helps me with accountability. I fell and hurt myself and so fell behind with the holiday planning I listed before.

Anyone else want to join?

First things first:

Finalize weekly menu plan for this week
Finalize Thanksgiving menu plan
Spend 10 minutes decluttering the pantry

Well, it's Tuesday, but I need to do these same things and more.
My goal, by 2 is to have done these three things and clear the kitchen counter of anything that doesn't belong in the kitchen.
Wish me luck

Good luck Cheenya!

I got stuff done yesterday but didn't get back here to post. Today is super busy and I have to be on a call in a minute so I'll be back to list tasks. Just wanted to say hi.

I did get a load of laundry going.

Hi Avent - thanks for keeping me company

Well, I did get Thursday's menu figured out - that was the easy one, and I finalized today's meal plan
I also organized a play date for DD (she has a friend over now to occupy her) and have DS taking a nap, so I'm off to see how much I can get done in the next hour, besides finishing up the previous list I'm going to try to clean up the bathroom and get a load of diapers washed.

Great! Keep going! My doc had a cancellation so I'm going there but I'll be back later.

I got a second load of laundry going too.

Here's what I need to do tonight:

wash dishes
make fajitas for dinner
make pie crust
wash dishes from making pie crust
put laundry away
prep coffee for morning
start cutting out fleece baby pants for Holiday Helper Project (see link in my sig if you are interested in helping out, too)

Well I did the bathroom, the diapers, and a load of dishes, but I still haven't finished the table. That needs to happen soon so we can eat!
I'm hoping to also wash the kitchen floor before dinner, we'll see.
