Contraction questions

I am going into my 3rd day with contractions. The first day (Friday)they evened out about 20 minutes apart for several hours and then petered out by the next morning. Friday morning, I lost a few bits of my plug.

Yesterday (Saturday) they evened out at 14 minutes a part for a couple of hours and then slowed to nothing by bedtime last night. 2am Saturday morning I had bloody show and have had it a few times since.

Right after I went to bed they started back up at every 20 minutes and they were much more painful and intense. They were 20 minutes apart for about 5 hours and then started getting erratic again. Now that I am awake and not trying to sleep, I haven't had one in almost over an hour. I also noticed this morning that turning over caused me to have a couple of contractions at different times.

Does this sound like real contractions? I am so exhausted from trying to sleep in between ctx last night. The most I slept at one time was an hour.
I am currently, quite discouraged.

I'm sorry you're having a hard time, Mama.

Sounds like early, warm-up labor to me. I would do whatever you can to relax, get rest and conserve your strength. If you drink, have some red wine. If not, try some chamomile or skullcap. Definitely get your hands on some Bach's rescue remedy. Get into the warm bathtub. Get a massage. Eat high protein/high carb combo snacks. Alternate periods of rest with periods of normal activity.

Your body knows what it's doing. First time birthing is extra hard work. You're doing a great job!
