Hi!
I can't sleep. I can't sleep well when I sleep. I went to bed at 1030 slept midnight -2AM, then 5:30-8AM, but kept waking frequently.

DS wakes up at 630 but I moved to another room and left DH withhim so I could try to sleep once 530 roled around.

If DS naps I do have the chance to catch a one hour nap in the afternoon.. but ugh. I feel like crap.

Looking for some safe sleep aids... any ideas?

Thanks.

I take a little bit of Valerian when I can't sleep. My midwife gave me a list of herbs not to take during pregnancy and Valerian wasn't on it. Make sure you're getting enough magnesium in your diet/supplement. If you don't have enough magnesium your muscles can't relax.

Also, if its an anxiety/emotional thing or bad dreams Bach's Rescue Remedy can help and is safe.

It's not homeopathic, but my OBs 'prescribed' Benadryl for me during my first two pregnancies for help in getting to sleep. Just one pill, not two.

Thanks ladies.

I am heading to bed now. I have Rescue Remedy so I am going to give it a try. I am also one of those people who have no effect by Benedryl.. not drowsy, not hyper.. nothing. I wish it would make me drowsy becasue my eczema is itchy!

I will read up on Valerian and magnesium.. thank you!

ok.. going to bed now.
Good night!

i know it's not homeopathic, but regular unisom is safe.
i take half a tablet every now and again and it gets me over the sleepless edge.

What about Coffea cruda? It's a common homeopathic sleep remedy.

I also used Calms Forte (while traveling because it is hard for me to fall asleep away form home) and found it effective. Magnesium seems to work as well for relaxation.

I like the Sleepytime tea from Celestial Seasonings, with a spoonful of honey. Tension Tamer is another good one.

Thank you mamas so much!

I am going to try all of the suggestions! Sleep is just not something I am getting a lot of these days. DS just fell asleep 9PM he will be up around 630AM...so I have to incorporate some unisome, calms forte, sleepy teas into my routine!

THanks so much.. I felt so at a loss before I posted.
