I had a very similar birth with the fast decent and the placenta being weird. I was so thankful I had her UC!

Congratulations and welcome baby girl!

I think we are naming her Sophia. She seemed to pick a few names out during pregnancy but this one is sticking more than the others. Not sure on a middle name yet. I added some pics to my post 22 on page 2 here.
Weighed her Monday morning and she was 9 lbs 4 oz. I am not sure what she was right after birth, she did keep pooping alot!

I think she did pick her birth date and birth time. Because when it was time for her to come she really did just about fly out! Gently though, but really fast and there was little I could do to slow it, that was a first for me.

Thank you so much for all of the congratulations! I am so glad I got a UC birth afterall!!! I would be way more disappointed about not being able to birth unassisted at home than I am that we didn't get actual photos of her birth or coming out face up which I would have loved to have!

She is beautiful. Are those other absolutely beautiful children yours too?
Congrats!

DD2 was a UC and was also born on a same date and time (though not 11/11). Must be something in the air for that to happen.

I may have been wrong on her weight. Actually I was I guess. After I weighed just the diaper, wool pants, shirt, hat she was wearing they came to 9 ounces. So, 9 lbs 4 oz minus 9 oz is 8 lbs 11 oz. Interesting. And she looks more like an almost 9 pounder rather than over 9 lbs. However, that was still the next day so how much weight would a newborn lose the first day? I should have just done it nakie that first night.

I didn't even notice that!! That is simply all the photos I had of her on the camera and I uploaded them all. Now, with me remembering I had to subtract the clothes she was wearing from her weight so she was 8 lbs 11 oz. I am thinking she had this all planned! lol!

Oh, and let me just say that I feel lucky she didn't try to weigh 11 lbs 11 oz! And come out posterior! My back is still wonky and not right.

She looks amazing like a big ripe velvet peach. I can see why you were ready she is large. It is normal to second guess yourself and not know what your intuition is telling you at times. I am sure you are proud of your trust in your body and baby. Congratulations!
