Craving butter - is this a deficiency?

I think I've eaten a whole stick of butter over the past 48 hours but not in food, just plain.

I can't quite explain it but I'm craving it to an crazy degree.

Is this a sign of some deficiency? I mean this is some good organic cultured butter but I think if I let myself eat until I had my fill, I might eat the whole package.

Sometimes I crave butter, I'm not sure why and I haven't in a while. I always just indulge

You body "needs" the fat.

When the weather turns colder, I always crave fatty things, like creamy sauces and gravies and buttery things. I chalk it up to thousands of years of needing to put on a layer of fat for the cold months to come!

I just ran out of CLO a few days back and I have to wait until December to replenish the supply. I wonder if it's related to that.

Wait, why is "needs" in quotes? Does that mean that it doesn't really need it?

I believe that your body does need fat. Especially now that the weather is getting colder.

I agree, my body really craves it lately. if I dont' eat a lot, my skin gets very dry

I think your body needs the fat and/or the fat soluble vitamins such as A. It could definitely be related to not having the vitamin A from CLO.

Oh and my skin has been horribly dry lately. Not even CO slathered after a shower is helping. Not a good way to be for a psoriatic.

Thanks for the answers guys.

MDC is always there for me!

Same here. I crave butter on a regular basis and I am sure that it is because of vit A deficiency. Every morning when I put butter on my oat porridge I think about what Sally Fallon said on her recent tour down under: she puts 3 tablespoons of butter on her morning porridge.
