I got the book "Unconditional Parenting" and WOW!! It has changed the way I parent! I am seeing a total change in my children! One part of the book says to try to say yes as much as you can. What a difference this makes! I have noticed that whenever the kids would ask for something my first reaction would be to say NO. Now that I am consciencously trying to say YES it makes more sense! They are individuals with their own thoughts and opinions. It is amazing how much they laugh now! For ex. my daughter likes to play tricks on us. Just things to make us laugh. Before I would always say STOP THAT or DON'T DO THAT! Now I laugh with her and it is so nice. I know it was because we are so busy and stressed out we just got into the habit of reprimanding and couldn't get out of it. My children are happier and so are we! I HIGHLY recommend this book!!!
