So... occasionally we have been able to see a slight little extra "bump" down low where baby's head is, but last night it was more distinct and MUCH lower. The rest of my belly is still rounded and way up high, but down low, RIGHT above my pubic bone is crease and then a little round bump. This morning it is even a little bit lower! It's obviously the head- Pixie touched it with her cold hand and the baby completely freaked out and kicked me way up in the ribs and then I got a heck of a contraction.
I've been contracting all night- since about 9 last night- every 4 to 6 minutes (which I was told not to be concerned about by m/w because I've been having prodromal labor for so long now...) Still no mucous plug, still no bloody show, no leaking, NOTHING else other than some slight nausea (well, slight all the time and sometimes worse, but haven't vomited yet) and I've pooped about 8 times through the night. Didn't sleep but 2 hours all night
DH is frustrated because my pubic pain is so bad that I cannot drive because using my feet to exert pressure on the pedals in the car is just awful, so he is beginning his leave of absence today (which is really only 3 days early.)
So anyway... does this sound like anything?
Is the head/extra bump thing weird and something to be worried about? Also, the baby is moving BIG BIG STRONG movements that make me feel like the whole inside of my tummy is a raw wound being scraped. Ugh.
Doula is coming over this morning to do my belly cast and a massage. Curious to see what she thinks too. Will let you know.
