Carrying really low?

I swear it feels like this baby is so low it's dropped! I don't remember my son hanging this low into my pelvis. I can feel the head bulging out a little below the band of my super-low bikinis.

Anyone else?

Making it clear, this is NOT a complaint, but yeah, baby's lying pretty low now he's turned vertex. I can feel his head internally, and there's a lot of pressure.
The reason I say this is not a complaint is because I had a similar conversation when I was pregnant with DD, and one of the mom's waters broke at 33 weeks. NOT complaining, just happy to be here.

My baby stays low. I have never felt a kick above my belly button. I hope it is normal for her to be that low. I am still not showing at all at 26 weeks. I went to the grocery store yesterday wearing my pre pregnancy clothes still!

Yup. I did with dd also, so I'm not worried. It's just body type. I saw my friend who is due a week after me last weekend, and her lower belly below her belly button is completely flat. Mine's been sticking out since like 8 weeks! I never dropped with dd, either, I just knew she was coming because she switched positions after being in the same one for weeks.

That's me to a T! I still haven't figured out how she is sitting but I tend to feel her in my lower right quadrant. Before bed when I lay on my back for some quality time with dad and baby, you can see where the bulk of her is and it's pretty much where my right ovary would be (if I still had one, LOL!). I can count on one hand the number of times I've felt her above my belly button. Being a first time mama, I have no clue if this is good or bad but if it doesn't bother me, I figure it can't be all that bad :.

Of course, this is failing to mention that I plan on seeing a holistic chiropractor this week to help with the back, hip and pubic pain !

my ob says that's a sign of a breech baby. once my babies flip I never feel kicks below the belly button.

My baby was sitting really low for a while. I would say around 25 weeks the baby finally starting moving up (or maybe turned around). Now I feel kicks/punches EVERYWHERE, but mostly around the navel or to the side.

This is my first, so I am no expert--just going by gut-feeling.

I am feeling a ton of pressure lately too, although my belly doesn't look different like it did when my son dropped (at 34 wks). I think in my case it's just the normal second pregnancy looseness that I have heard about. Gotta, gotta gotta keep doing those kegels and pelvic rocks!! I'm feeling lots of kicks at about waist level so I think this little one is just making herself at home and using all the space.

so does carrying low mean you may go too early? I don't feel any vaginal pressure or anything.

I feel like his butt is right below my ribs and his head is in my umm...hair down there. I know he's going to be bigger than ds- I feel kicks up under my ribs already and punches around my bladder. With ds I felt like he never kicked up that high. Dp and I were both 23 inches when we were born and ds was only 20 inches so maybe I just have a really long baby this time with no where to go?

I feel like I'm carrying really low...haven't felt any kicks in the rib or even above the belly button.
I feel like the baby is lying transverse & most of the kids are on my left side down low...
I'm assuming it's normal, my midwife hasn't said anything about it & I've never heard of any connection w/ going into early labor.

Jen, no, the mother in question went to 42 weeks: actually, I think we all did : It made the last trimester fairly miserable though.

E was like that from day one. I wanted to wear all the cute low rise maternity pants but it was like "hi, here is my pubs!" if I did. ( ihave a really long torso which did not help when it came to shirts and coverage.) This one doesn't seem as low.

that's me! I have a really long torso too so I think that may be one reason I'm carrying so low- just the way I'm shaped. Ds hung low, just not this low...

This babe is lower than my other three. Though the pressure is starting to hurt my ribs now. (I am very short torso'd) And I'm showing SO much now that I have outgrown the only pair of maternity pants I owned. I've been wearing a pair of dh's sweat pants all week. Attractive! .... :
