another contraction question

I have regular contractions (I know it is still early though). Do I start timing them when they become painful? Honestly, sometimes they are very uncomfortable but I would not say painful, and sometimes I don't even realize I am having one- I only know because I touch my belly and my uterus is tightening up.

As I said in a previous post, the uncomfortable ones come on slowly- I question if I am imagining the contraction until I really start to feel it, and then it leaves in the same way. It is not like "OMG, it just started, OMG, it just ended", it is more like "hmmm.. I think I might feel a contraction coming on.... oh yeah, there it is..." Does this mean they are B-H even if they are regular?

You are looking for them to become longer, stronger, and closer together. When they increase in intensity and take your attention-- start timing. You can certainly have a pattern of B-H contractions. I've had them go for hours at 2-3 minutes apart. They never increased in intensity, though, so I knew that wasn't "it".

i think i'm having a BH right now as i type this...phew, sometimes they really are something. i've been having these for a while now...days/weeks/months...rock hard belly mostly upper when these happen. they happen when i stand, when i walk, when i get stressed (like when i was w/ jack off tom in MN) or even when i sit up in bed (or try to when i have a really hard BH goin' on) to pee or get up in the morning...i can't even remember what early labor was like w/ megh except it was definitely different...it hurt. stopped me in my tracks and i really had to breathe thru them...and lay down...it will be interesting to see if this time around is any different.

i'm sorry if i'm not much help...........
