not having ANY signs of labor, and then just going into labor??
I hope they are good LOL.. I use to have tons of false labor but even that's went away in the past few days

with my first I didn't have any sign at all until my water broke and labor started so I guess it can happen

That's what happened to my mom. She didn't have any buildup, just woke up one day in labor and had me four hours later.

I was wondering that too. Now that I am most likely not being induced, but wanting to have the baby very soon... I would love to just spontaneously go into labor. I wonder if I can somehow will my water to break... The sex thing didn't work for us (at least the first time)... *sigh*

The good news is, I heard that with some second pregnancies the baby doesn't drop till you are actually IN labor, so that was promising... and your water may not break till you are in labor.... I was happy to hear that. Because I am not showing any signs either. But I want this baby to come out! NOW! (well, actually we are doing a hospital birth and it is a half hour away....)

Pretty high when I think about my first 2. None, nada to nice, steady contractions/water breaking from one minute to another. Now the 3rd had me guessing for a while and drove me crazy with early signs and stop and go labor. But we made it

With DS, I was in denial about my signs; does that count as no signs? I woke up that morning and spent a looooong time on the potty (sorry, TMI, I'm sure). DH said I was going into labor, but I said, "No way, this kid's not coming for another two weeks!" I then had a sudden burst of energy and then hit a brick wall and knocked out for a nap. Still didn't think I was in labor...until I woke up from my nap in advanced first stage! He was born 5 1/2 hours later...

I still don't really consider those real signs...but maybe you're talking about nothing even remotley close to suggesting labor.

With DD I went from no signs to labour - contractions coming every 30 to 60 seconds and lasting a minute or longer. No signs at all prior to this - no increase in mucous, in energy, no previous contractions, no bloody show, nada.

With this babe, it was a bit more obvious that a gradual process was taking place.

But I do think you can go from no signs to labour.

I'm hoping the same fricking thing! I was 3 weeks late w/my last & the MW already thinks this one is a 9 pounder & since I'm going for a VBA2C, I want it to be MY TURN! I haven't even lost my mucus plug! My BM's (it's funny to type that ) were um...looser & more often, but now they're back to normal. Every little thing that's different w/me right now I think, "am I about to go into labor?!"

I did it with both my kids.

My first sign of labor was my water breaking. I didn't have build up ctx...nothing.

In fact with Aldria I talked to my dad at noon and he asked how I was feeling and I said "Pregnant as ever. Don't bet on me having this baby anytime before November 4th." boy was I wrong! My water broke 4 hours later...lol

I've been having false starts too this past week that have died off and while I'd like to be able to DTD with DH before Christmas, I'm ready, already!

My aunt had 45 minute labors with two kids. One minute she was just pregnant and doing her thing, the next, she was having hard contractions. With her third, she had two MASSIVE contractions several hours apart and the baby was born about two minutes after the second in the bag even!

It happened to me with both of my kids. No signs AT ALL, both were still really high and hadn't dropped, labor just started!

NO signs at all? Hmmm... I wonder.

With dd, I did have a bloody show 3 days before I went into labor, if that counts. Labor started with my water breaking. I really wasn't expecting that to happen!

I am still hoping... I had three contractions that were so strong they woke me up last night. But during the day they are weird and inconsistent- definitely getting stronger but not following any pattern. aargh. My next appt is Thursday and I am hoping she will check me and say "uh... yeah, you are 5 cm dialated and ready to be admitted!" Or something... maybe they will see by my NST that my contractions are like 5 mintues apart... hey, I can dream, right? But no bloody show or anything.

However, I guess ideally I could hold off till I get the car vacuumed out and some cooking done.
