Is cramping normal?@ 33 wks

I have been cramping all over my belly, it stops me in my tracks and I feel so sick everything it happens and I feel so much pressure on my but and upper belly. I also feel like I have period cramps. Its not regular its just sucks! I never had this with my ds. Also I had a scheduled c-section with him at 39 wks. So I don't know what labor or preterm labor is. I called my OB's office and the receptionist cut me off before I was done explaining and said its normal and hung up! So I guess its normal but when am I to be worried??? TIA!!

The receptionist should not have answered that question (especially like that)!!!! Can you tell your care provider about this experience at your next visit?

As far as your cramping goes...yes it is normal. Your body is telling you to slow down and start getting ready. When this happens try and sit down and relax and check in with the babe. Listen to what your body is telling you not your mind. Sometimes, especially with a younger child in tow, we have the mindset that we need to do everything.

You need to worry when you have pre term labor symptoms (bleeding, breaking waters, contractions that get longer/stronger and closer together over time-despite changing activities).

Trust your body, it knows what its doing!!!
