My very best friend in the whole wide world is currently in nursing school. She is scheduled to do her OB clinicals at the hospital where I'm delivering during the first three weeks of February!

She missed Spencer's birth by about ten minutes. She was taking a final and just could not get away any earlier. So this time, I'm honing in on Tuesday, February 12 for my delivery date, since she'll be there for clinicals that day and the next. She plans on being there anyway, but it would be really neat if she got "credit" for it. I've already told my OB that she'll be there, and later on I'm going to ask if he would be willing to let her catch my baby (with guidance/assistance). I know she'll go on to catch more, but this would be her first, and that would just be such a huge bonding experience for the two of us. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
