tonight, and i asked her to check me and "poke around" some. it will be my first internal (i'm 40w today). DH has DS for the day....i asked him if he could either stay home or take DS to office with him...and low and behold he said SURE! no arguments......hmmmm? which is weird because right after that MW called me to set a time tonight and said she would come watch DS for an hour or so so i could rest if i wanted, and i said DH is gonna take him for the day. i guess the universe is telling me AND everyone else i need to rest

i sure hope things get going. nothing but tons of BHs. so it will just give me more BHs or HOPEFULLY get things moving! wish me luck!:

I have my 40 wk appt. today too. I'm going to ask if they check me and possibly strip my membranes. I'm not worried about dh missing the birth at this point, since I'm not allowed to go past 42 weeks, and he'll be here a few days past that, but I'd really like him to have a solid week and a half here after the birth just to help me out so I can rest and get used to a 3rd child, and so he can enjoy a bit of time with his new dd. I'm not sure if they'll do it, but I'm going to ask. I've had early labor signs for the past week and I'm starting to go nuts. Let's hope we both have these babies soon.
