Yesterday was my daughter's (thatfatbaby, Olivia) 6th birthday. Lucy was born yesterday too! Went into labor at 1 am and she was born in our living room in a pool at 6:11 pm. The midwife wasn't here an hour when she was born! My children both watched, my husband held me up (in more ways than one) and I caught her and pulled her to my chest. I wasn't the one to do that even with Levi's homewater birth! That moment will stick forever in my mind, pulling my newly born girl to my chest. She wanted to nurse immediately! And she didn't unlatch til about 4:30 this morning!! Or later. I guess I should save all this gushing for an actual birth story!
Anyway, Lucy still with no name was 8 lbs 10 oz, 21 inches long which is almost a lb heavier than my heaviest!! HEad full of dark hair. and all the actual birth photos were taken by my mom so I have to wait for those. I did use hypnobabies. Not to the extent one should but it's point is that you can have a painless birth and having two painful births obviously that didn't convince me of it lol. But the relaxtion cues did work. My husband could see it and I could feel it.
