Anyone make mittens out of recycled wool sweaters? - Page 2

These are so cute! I actually just posted, looking for anyone who has made wool longies from recycled wool sweaters. Here's the link if you're interested...http://www.cafepress.com/thatskindacool/864331.

Has anyone done this? It looks pretty easy, but I wonder if a boiled wool texture would be comfortable on a baby?

I haven't done them, but someone just gave me a pair as a gift. They are heavenly

We've had lots of wool longies and the key is to finding SOFT wool. If you buy a scratchy sweater to felt, you'll have scratchy longies. I haven't tried it, but I wonder in cashmere would work?

Do it!

You should do it! They are really simple and so gratifying. We made some last year and the kids even wore them!! Woo hoo!

There is a book that tells you how to make all kinds of things from recycled wool sweaters- mini skirts, hats, gloves, wrist warmers, leg warmers, the list is endless.

Second time cool
