So last night DH called his parents to ask AGAIN when they want to do Christmas. We have a family that lives hours away from each other so we can't see everyone on Christmas. ANYHOO they finally decide and ask how DS is.

DH told them that DS is doing good and excited for his birthday tomorrrow (today). They said "oh his birthday?" DH said "yeah, his birthday is the 14th" They said "oh we thougth it was a few weeks ago, isn't that when you had your party?"

OH MY GOODNESS! They can't be serious. How can you forget your ONLY grandchild's birthday really?!! These people really really tick me off.

Sorry.. jsut needed a to get that out.

It is so hard to want to do anything with these people. Really.

I have to have a good strong talk with DH about who gets called when, when this baby is born.

When I was in labor with DS all I could hear is my MIL saying "She's breathing wrong" UGH.. They stalled my labor so so so much. I hope to only call my mom since she needs to drive 3 hours to get here to watch DS. I really don't want anyone else knowing until I am home iwth the baby...

i have completely 'normal' in-laws and parents... and i'm STILL not calling till after baby is in my arms!

my mom used to be like that...like about me! she remembers stuff now that she never even cared about when i was growing up.

it feels horrible to have people in your life that you are trying to connect with and they are so not available. i am so sorry they are like that!

uh...my in-laws think ds is the most perfect child ever born, and border on addiction to him. (He's the first and only one so far, so that is part of it.)

I CAN NOT even belive that your in-laws could be so crappy. I will admit that mine are a bit over the top, but who becomes a grandparent and doesn't forever treasure the day that it happened:::. They sound so awful!!!!!!
