i am FINALLY having my one and only ultrasound this afternoon at 2:15. it has been postponed and rescheduled and driven me insane for weeks now, but today is the day!!

so, who thinks they can guess whether this little one is a boy or a girl?

some potentially helpful info:

-- from the very beginning i've had girl vibes.
-- heart rate is consistently 160 or a little higher.
-- the wedding ring dangle thingy always says "girl".
-- we've been set on our girl name since before conception.
-- every single dream i have had (which is a lot) about this baby has been definite boy.
-- my dad is absolutely convinced it's a boy.
-- we're struggling deciding a boy name.
-- this kiddo kicks like CRAZY, very hard, both high and low and has since 18 weeks.
-- i was miserably sick until 20 weeks.

i will post the results this evening when i get back from town. hopefully with a picture!

Based on my experiences being preggo with both sexes, I had to say Girl too.

But, as they say every pregnancy is different...

If you are like me, I don't care either way-just have to know!

Can't wait to hear.

well...

it's a ...

HUMAN!

:

baby absolutely, positively, DID NOT want to have anything to do with the ultrasound today. the doctor tried so hard to get me a picture of anything that didn't look like a blob, but it didn't work. baby was turned toward my spine (punching and kicking), and had it's legs very tightly crossed.

but we did see that it has a spine, hands, feet, a belly full of all the necessary innards, a beautifully beating heart, and a lovely back side of the head!

we got some odd and conflicting measurements that the doctor is sure is because of the baby's position. one measurement of the head put me a full two weeks ahead, but another of the femur showed right on schedule.

so, he called the perinatal clinic and they managed to squeeze us in early friday morning. apparently they have much, much better equipment and the doctor has full confidence that they will be able to see everything much more clearly and give us fuller results.

so i guess i'll keep the poll up until friday since everyone's guess is as good as mine!

Awww...sorry you didn't find out - I hope things go better for you on Friday! It sounds like it went pretty well, though!

I am going to say BOY because it sounds a lot like my pregnancy with ds. I was miserable and sick, he was a mover and a shaker, we had a girl name set and struggled with a boy name until the end.

This time I am having a girl and I wasn't that sick at all, the baby doesn't move much and we had a boy's name set from the start but struggled with a girl's name until about 20 weeks or so.

I still think it's a girl... but it looks like more and more people are choosing boy in the poll now.

up until about a week ago, i could've sworn this baby was a girl. but something switched in my head and now i dunno...i really think it might be a boy!

it's driving me a little bonkers not knowing.

but hey, it's one or the other, right!?

i really, REALLY hope they can see tomorrow.

the ultrasound was WONDERFUL!

the people at the clinic were so great and they took so much time with us. the ultrasound was displayed on a large screen tv in the room so we could see every teeny detail and the doctor went over each and every part so we really understood what we were seeing. dh was so funny, arms crossed, face as close to the screen as he could get, eyes all squinty trying to memorize every part. it was really, really wonderful.

in the end we determined that everything looks absolutely perfect, measuring right on for my edd (which is *gasp* only 98 days away!).

and i should have never, ever doubted my intuition -- it's a girl!!
