Me too! I could be that mom. I'm either quite and seem snobby or I talk so much I trip over my tongue and just want everyone to think I'm cool enough. Recently, It's been made pretty clear that I don't fit with the local playgroup so I'm just as lonely as before.

Hi, ladies, OP here. I'm very sorry if my post surfaced insecurities in anyone. That was not my intention at all. If you are doubting yourselves, you are probably being self-critical due to my comments, which is too typical of many of us, don't you think? We're all probably doing just fine. I think most people are very accepting to different personalities and social styles and tend to give the benefit of the doubt. I had a lapse I say, let your light shine!

I say give her time. She probably hasn't goten out in a while. I was probably a social dissaster by the time I made mom friends.

in the mean time all of you could have each others back and be sure you after the interuption is finished making sure the person who was interupted has a chance and invitation to finish what they were saying. asi n "Suzie, please finish your story about baby Timmy". Sometimes it is easier to encourage someone else than say "hey you interupted me" but eventually she will still get the messege.
