Is there anything that I can safely do if needed? The birth center won't use anything but I want to know if there is anything that is safe for me to use. Any and all info and links you have would be great. Thanks!
Thanks. I know that is the safest and I plan on doing that. I just don't want a c-section and if I go past 42 weeks I have to go to the hospital or go unassisted at home. I am not really comfortable with unassisted so I would be stuck with a c-section. If you have any other advice about how to avoid the c-section if i have to transfer than that is great too.
Stay at home as long as possible if you must go to the hospital. Basically show up when you feel like you are past the point of "no return". Meaning you show up in triage and there is no time to do anything but deliver the baby.

This isn't even a sure way of avoiding a cesarean at some hospitals (unless the head is crowning or out).
At our birth center we have no problem with breast pumping or castor oil in VBACs who have passed 41 weeks. Just FYI.
Thanks. That helps. If I pass that I will try it. I would have to do it at home because they don't do it there for VBACs but at least I know. If I pass 42 weeks then I can't deliver there so once I hit 41 I am afraid I will panick. Hopefully I will deliver before that anyways.
