My book obsession

I have a really strong book obsession... I spend so much money, but I can't help myself. They really are a passion of mine. On average, I will buy a book per week, sometimes two.

Problem is, I need more time to read them all

This week I bought Noami Klein's 'The Shock Doctrine' and

'Infidel' by Ayaan Hirsi Ali

So what have other ppl bought recently?

Peace

I used to buy books often but now I book swap. I don't know if you've checked out www.paperbackswap.com. It's a great site for swapping. You don't pay anything to join. You list 9 books you're willing to part with and in turn you can request 3 books from the *massive* list of books available from other members. You don't ever exchange money with another member. You don't send money to the site either. If you want a book that's listed the member who has it listed pays to ship it. Typically it costs only $2.13 or so because you send the book by media mail. The site prepares the label and all you have to do is print it, wrap it around the book, and mail it. It's very easy. Once you receive a book from another member you are under no obligation to post it on the site. It's yours to do with as you please. I've gotten so many books from PBS. I must have saved several hundred dollars by now. It's worth checking out if you're interested. There are several MDC mamas there and it would be great to have more AP books on the list.

This week I received The Thirteenth Tale and Eat Me.

Duh on me. I just saw you're in England so PBS won't work for you. All that rambling for nothing.

I can relate - I obsessively buy books. I try to go to the library more often, but honestly I hate it. It creeps me out thinking of other people touching them. I don;t know why. And for some reason, whenever I get a bunch at the library, I then go on-line and buy other books... I think I am feeling virtuous from the library and so reward my self by purchasing.
Recent purchases:
Cell - Stephen King
Last Child in the Woods - Richard Louv
The Snow Queen - Illus. Vladyslav Yerko
The Uses of Enchantment - Bettelheim

That's all I can think of at the moment...

I buy books too, but I try to buy used books. I have a huge library already, but those are only books I've read more than once.
