Starting at the last threads and working my way forward looking for tips and tricks. Bumping this waaaaaaay up (from 2003 ) because I'd be interested in the answer. I never thought about it before.

Hi,I just cut it at an angle ...i.e cross wise.then make my zig zag tighter, smaller together and just backward and forwards over it!
It looks neat!
I make sure i start and finish in an area you don't see when the dipe is closed!HTH

I'm glad you bumped this b/c I am having the same question. I've used FOE twice now for covers and am getting ready to use it again today and I can't figure out how to end it neatly.

Wow, thanks for the link! Not only does it look easy, it also looks nice and makes since. Also, I now know what a 3 step zig-zag looks like.

Previously to seeing this link i had been using a regular wide /long zig zag for my FOE antics! Which to be perfectly honest I likes the look of and seemed easy to do,but after seeing this last night ,I rushed up ,cut out another nappy and sewed it up with FOE using 3 step zig zag, and the look is just SO much nicer, the elastic works to greater effect and it is easier to handle to FOE too!
So what a good find indeed!!!
