Help! Burning questions (TMI)

Sorry to be so blunt but my privates are burning. It has been about 5 days now and it isn't going away. It isn't a yeast infection since there is no yeast, but that is what if feels like. The burning is mostly in the front part, not so much inside of my vagina.

I need any ideas to make it stop hurting. I stopped wiping when I go to the bathroom and have just been patting. I have also tried sleeping without underwear for some fresh air. I have even shaved thinking that maybe that would help speed up the healing.

Please send any ideas my way, I will try almost anything.

Are you postpartum? Sorry, can't remember. Bacterial infections can cause similar burning to yeast, but are different and have to be treated differently, usually with medication. When's your next appt? I would definitely ask your dr/mw about it.

I've had a bad burning/itching feeling after both of my babies. The first time I treated myself repeatedly for yeast, the second time I realized that wasn't what it was and did the things you're doing--more showers and time with no underwear especially. I'm sorry to say that I'm not sure any of it helped and don't know what else to try this time around! But IME it only lasted about a week maybe?

My MW said it's a normal part of healing for some women but she was going to look into other things I could do. She also wondered if I'm sensitive to my own blood because since my last delivery I sometimes feel that way during AF too. Anyway, sorry not to be more helpful, but you're not alone!

i have burning at times too many on my bikini line from pubic discomfort or sciatica stuff...and also i have burning at times what feels like my urethra...i am not quite sure if it is that or my clitoris. feels like it is inflamed, and burns, is all i can describe it as... it goes away, doesn't hang in there... maybe this is what's going on for you? are you bathing in a new soap/body bath/gel or going in a hot tub (like me...)? peeing a lot in your panties or pads??? sometimes our own urine can be an irritant if we are 'in it' too long. hmmmm. i'd maybe get checked out for any infections if it is that uncomfortable for you. hugs mama.

Thanks for the idea's. Not pp yet, my due date is tomorrow. I will try the yogurt and switching panties more often. I have been switching twice a day, but I will do it more often.
