Beatrice Ruth was born at home yesterday morning 11/15 at 7:43 am.
I woke up at midnight with contractions. By 1 am they were 6 minutes apart and not long after they were 3-4 minutes apart. My doula came around 3:30, and the midwife arrived around 5 am. These are mostly estimates because I fell asleep between contractions--like totally conked out!! I started pushing at 7 am and my husband coached me through it and caught her! He was amazing.

She showed a lot of determination to breastfeed and latched on just about right away. We spent the rest of the day in bed, where she was mostly happy to snuggle with her daddy.

Lots of good wishes for all the moms still waiting--it is totally worth it!

Pushing for that long? WOW you are a super mommy! I would want to cuddle all day after that too!
