so i finally just asked her to come now to help with DS while i'm waiting for babe to come. she was excited and jumped ight on it. then last night she called to check in and tell me what time they were leaving this morning (they live 5 ours away). out of nowhere she says i better not be coming for these 4,7, 10 days just to not have the baby come: WTH!! it's not a big deal...she had 4 days personal time to take off that her boss approved (she's a teacher and needs to have days before and after holidays approved) and she has 60 sick days. so NOW i'm thinking.....the last thing i need is my mom hanging over me asking me....so did you loose your plug, do you have bloody show, is you water leaking???? which she asked all of last night on the phone! i was not expecting this....UGH! so they are nowon there way here, and i think i may have to have DH run interference while she is here:

My mother just left after a two week visit - lives three days away - and that's exactly what happened. Drove me BATSHIT. And yup: "you'd better have that baby while I'm there." was her mantra. Didn't happen of course. She left yesterday morning and within an hour my cervix finally relaxed and I lost the rest of my plug. I totally feel your pain though

i'm really hoping she'll be to busy with DS to bother me too much usually when my parents visit DS will literally not let us talk to each other....he hogs them. so i hope it works for the best this time

oh i really can relate to this... my mother is now close by... if i were still in MN she'd probably be hawking over me about having the baby by now, as she would have arrived in MN from OR 11/06 and here it is 11/16 today... she still will say things now like i can't have the baby on such and such a date as she has such and such to do/be at...its annoying. or she will talk about going past the 21st as being overdue/late...which irks me to no end. hang in there...

Not in your DDC but this is exactly what I'm afraid of! My mom was due to come up on my due date but the idea of someone else waiting...ug....afraid I'd never go into labor! And my mom is pretty laid-back!
