Does this sound like food allergies?

I have some FA experience since my oldest DS has a peanut allergy, but I feel like I need some help with this.

My breastfed twin girls are 3 weeks old today. For the last week or so, I've noticed some things that are concerning me. They are extremely gassy after nursing and fussy while they work on having a bowel movement. Lucy in particular fusses and pulls her legs up to her belly until she goes. Poops have been mucousy and sometimes greenish. They grunt a lot towards the end of a feeding and pull on and off the breast. (I was suspecting reflux, which I guess it still could be, but I know that reflux can be a sign of FAs, too.) They just seem really uncomfortable a lot of the time, too.

Thoughts?

It sounds like Hindmilk/Foremilk imbalance to me.

It could be. It is soooo hard to tell when they are exclusive BFing...we had issues trying to decide with my son. He had a lot of issues like that, too.

I did go dairy free for awhile (his sister had been allergic to milk so that's what we started with first) but finally, I gave up.

But yes, he was allergic to milk, it turns out. Perhaps write these things down in a food journal?

There's not much testing you can do at this age to help them.
