Anything else you'd like to share: Labor induced @ 36 1/2 weeks due to pre-eclampsia, but Isaac was perfectly healthy and BIG for 36 weeks.

Due Date: 12/30/07
Baby's Name and Gender: Samuel Asher (boy)
Date and Time Born: 12/15/07, 6:22 a.m.
Weight and Length: 6 lb. 13 oz.; 21 inches long

Anything else you'd like to share: Labor was induced at 37 weeks, 5 days due to dangerously high blood pressure. Everything went very well despite the fact that I was hooked up to every IV imaginable and had to be given magnesium sulfate and was catherized (for 24 hours after the birth even): 11 hours labor--took me 8 hours to get from 1 cm to 5 cm, and then only two hours to go from 5 to 10; pushed him out in 20 minutes. Baby was in great shape the whole time, though. He is the most amazing person I could ever imagine! I am so completely in love!

Anything else you'd like to share: So happy to have a homebirth! Labor was SO intense but fast. I was so relieved when it was done, but looking back, it was wonderful. Baby is doing well, sleeping a lot and nursing just fine!

Comments to add: Born at exactly 44 weeks but well worth the wait! Caught by his mom and dad in a quick, awesome homebirth.
